Known as a dynamic and engaged thinker among chief IT officers, Edwina Payne (Co-Chair of the TechBridge Digital Event Series with Mark Satterfield of Anthem, Inc.) is a finalist for WIT’s Women Of The Year (WOTY) in Technology Awards that will be presented next month on November 16. Edwina has put forward the idea of developing a future-state IT function “from scratch” and discussed IT change management and leadership.
It may surprise you to learn that Edwina Payne has 25 years of experience in information technology and systems, supply chain technology and program management across multiple industries. Edwina Payne is SVP & Chief Enterprise Architect for McKesson. McKesson (NYSE: MCK) is the oldest and largest healthcare company in the nation, serving more than 50% of U.S. hospitals and 20% of physicians. We deliver one-third of all medications used daily in North America with operations in more than 16 countries. Previously, Edwina served as VP and CIO of Avanos Medical (formerly known as Halyard Health Inc. (NYSE: HYH), a medical technology company focused on eliminating pain, speeding recovery and preventing infection. Previously, Edwina served as VP and CIO of Zimmer Biomet and also worked for Johnson & Johnson’s medical device unit. A Purdue University graduate, Edwina began her corporate career at Kellogg Company where she took on in-country assignments in Brazil and Mexico, establishing remote computer support to 3,000-plus users across 11 countries in North America, Latin America and Europe. Edwina is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.
Edwina will compete with fellow IT executives during the golf tournament fundraiser, Tee IT Up for TechBridge at the Golf Club of Georgia on Monday, October 21. Also, a number of IT executives and TechBridge Executive Ambassadors will join Edwina Payne on Tuesday evening October 22 at Roam Perimeter for a casual invitation-only networking event, the Fall Mixer.
