Sid Mookerji was honored with the Sig Mosley Entrepreneurial Leader Award. During a reception held at the Egyptian Ballroom of the historic Fox Theatre in Atlanta, the award’s namesake, Sig Mosley of Mosley Ventures, and the Imlay Foundation presented the award in person to Sid Mookerji. In remarks shared with an audience of 300+ Atlanta technologists, friends, students, and other well-wishers, Sid described his journey as an entrepreneur and shared anecdotes about the challenges and successes he and Sophie Mookerji encountered across two decades of bootstrapping Software Paradigms International (SPI) and the joy of being able to give back through the Mookerji Foundation, Silicon Road Ventures, Georgia Tech’s Advanced Technology Development Center, Emory University’s entrepreneur program, Kennesaw State University and other organizations such as TiE.

Recently Sid Mookerji provided a gift to Georgia Tech’s Advanced Technology Development Center ( ATDC ) to establish a retail tech startup vertical, which now counts over 40 startups. Seeding these startups may be achieved in an even bigger way with the launch of Silicon Road Ventures, a venture capital fund, accelerator program, and innovation research group with the mission of driving the future of retail, funded by retailers.
