Digital Cocktail 2019 Recap

The evening of February 27th marked a spectacular evening among top technology and business leaders in Atlanta as they joined together to collaborate and celebrate impact at Accenture’s Innovation Hub located in Midtown’s bustling Tech Square.

During the program, our Digital Events Series co-chairs Edwina Payne, SVP & CIO at Avanos Medical, and Ed Smith, CTO at Anthem, Inc., proudly announced Carol Tomé, SVP & CFO at Home Depot, as the recipient of the Community Leader Award, and Bryson Koehler, CTO at Equifax, as the recipient of the Ed Steinike CIO Award. These honorees will be celebrated at the Digital Ball on April 27th, 2019.

Vish Narendra, Board Chair and SVP & CIO at Graphic Packing International spoke to extend gratitude to our Digital Event Sponsors that help make these events possible. He also urged those who work with nonprofits to remind them of the Georgia Dream Big Technology Grant, a grant that helps nonprofits through technology to better fulfill their mission. TechBridge CEO James Franklin also spoke to honor Eric Pearson, a friend and colleague of many attendees, who had passed away this past December. Eric was well known for his limitless kindness and generosity towards others.

To highlight the evening, the long-awaited theme for the 2019 Digital Ball was finally revealed during the program. This year’s theme was announced to be “Achieving Bold Transformations”, to celebrate the nonprofits, companies, and individuals that are transforming our communities for the better.
