TechBridge to Benefit from SIM Atlanta Charity Golf Outing |
Atlanta, GA – March 13, 2008. TechBridge, a nonprofit dedicated to putting technology know-how into the hands of other nonprofits, is pleased to announce that it has been selected as the sole beneficiary of proceeds raised from a charity golf tournament sponsored by the Atlanta chapter of the Society for Information Management (SIM). The 2nd Annual SIM Atlanta Technology Exchange and Charity Golf Outing is slated for May 19, 2008 at the Country Club of the South in Atlanta. The annual event brings together area CIOs and other senior IT decision makers for a time of networking and information exchange. This year’s keynote sponsor is HCL Technologies - a handful of $3,000 hole sponsorships remain available. “TechBridge is honored to have been selected to receive the proceeds from this event,” said CEO, Jack McMillan. “The generous support of organizations such as SIM enables TechBridge to continue to help Atlanta-area nonprofits use technology to better serve our community.” In 2007, TechBridge reached its 280th nonprofit client with the technology support they need, saving them an estimated $1m in service fees in 2007 alone. In addition, since inception TechBridge has facilitated the donation of over $6 million in free Microsoft software. SIM is an international organization with more than 3,500 top information technology members from more than 500 major corporations. “SIM members are responsible for developing management techniques for the strategic use of information technology,” said Atlanta SIM President, Chris Horace, Director, IT Procurement, The Coca-Cola Company. “As such, our chapter’s support of TechBridge is a natural fit and a meaningful way for local IT professionals to impact our community.” Additional Information About TechBridge # # # # Contact Information:
