TechBridge and TechLINKS Team Up to Present “Community Builder” Award |
Atlanta, GA, - Friday, January 9, 2008 –The first annual TechBridge / TechLINKS Community Builder award will be presented at this year’s May 10th TechBridge Digital Ball to a technology leader (CIO or equivalent), who has demonstrated outstanding community participation and contribution. The award will honor individual civic deeds within the non-profit sector, as well as contributions to Georgia’s infrastructure that supports local IT industry growth. Specifically, the TechBridge / TechLINKS Community Builder award will recognize CIOs who personally encourage and participate in civic / non-profit groups as positive role models. The award will also recognize leaders who support doing business with local companies to help the continued growth of the local Georgia economy. “It is time to give recognition to CIOs who go above and beyond to help build and strengthen our community,” said Jack McMillan, CEO of TechBridge. “We continue to be grateful for the support TechBridge receives from the CIO community, and intend for this award to salute IT leaders for their business and civic accomplishments.” Mike Adkinson, Founder & Pointman of TechLINKS said, “TechLINKS is very focused on the community and finding ways to help promote local commerce.
