TechBridge Announces Technology Innovation Award Call for Entries Due February 9th |
Atlanta, GA – January 8, 2007 – TechBridge, a nonprofit supporting nonprofits with technology solutions, announced its call for applications to all Georgia nonprofits for the 6th Annual TechBridge Technology Innovation Award, given by Accenture. The award recognizes nonprofits for their effective and innovative use of technology in one or more of the following four areas: advancing their missions; increasing efficiency of day-to-day operations; improving effectiveness in serving clients and key stakeholders; and increasing fundraising, advocacy or volunteer efforts.
"Technology can be a great enabler of both economic growth and social development," said Craig Ramsey, Managing Director of Accenture’s Atlanta office. "Accenture partners with its clients to bring technology innovation into the corporate and government sectors every day, so it makes perfect sense for us to encourage and recognize innovation in the nonprofit community through supporting this award."
The winner will receive $25,000 in Microsoft software, $15,000 in TechBridge technology consulting services and $5,000 in cash. In addition, two finalists will each receive $10,000 in Microsoft software, $5,000 in TechBridge consulting services and $1,000 in cash. The three finalists will be profiled in the April 19th edition of the Atlanta Business Chronicle and at TechBridge’s annual fundraising gala, the Digital Ball, on May 5 when the winner will be announced in front of the 1,200 distinguished guests.
The judging panel comprises CIOs/CTOs, CEOs and other senior-level executives from the corporate and nonprofit community. Previous winners include CHRIS Kids (2006), Hemophilia of Georgia (2005), Project Open Hand (2004), Atlanta Community ToolBank (2003) and Atlanta Community Food Bank (2002). The award application and further details can be found at www.techbridge.org. All applications are due February 9, 2007.
