TechBridge and Accenture Call on Nonprofits to Share Tech Vision |
Atlanta; January 26, 2012 - TechBridge, a nonprofit that provides professional, affordable technology services to other nonprofits, is now accepting applications for the 2012 Technology Innovation Award, presented by Accenture. This award will help Georgia nonprofits fulfill their technology visions. "We know that creativity and ingenuity run deep in the nonprofit community," said TechBridge CEO, James Franklin. "In these challenging times, however, resources are severely limited, so it is more important than ever to help deserving nonprofits increase their capacity to serve our community through technology." The 2012 Technology Innovation Award winner will receive $25,000 in TechBridge services and a $5,000 grant to support the technology project, both underwritten by Accenture, as well as thousands of dollars worth of software donated by other TechBridge partners. The winner and two finalists will be announced May 5, 2012 at the TechBridge Digital Ball, which will host more than 800 guests, including Atlanta’s most influential technology and business leaders. "Accenture is committed to helping both our clients and the nonprofits in our community apply technology to improve operations and overall performance," said Craig Ramsey, Atlanta managing director for Accenture. "We look forward to presenting this prestigious award for the eleventh consecutive year and will continue to encourage nonprofits to develop their technology capabilities through this important program."
