TechBridge Supporters Continue Momentum With 6th Habitat for Humanity Build

Atlanta – April 27, 2010. Atlanta-based TechBridge, a nonprofit dedicated to helping other nonprofits use technology to do more and help more people, is pleased to announce the construction of its sixth Technology Community Habitat House, in partnership with Atlanta Habitat for Humanity. Sixteen corporate sponsors have joined together to continue the annual tradition of building a new home for a working Atlanta family. Construction will begin on April 29, 2010 at the home’s site near the Oakland City neighborhood in southwest Atlanta. A dedication ceremony will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 4, 2010 to celebrate the project’s completion.

Corporate sponsors of TechBridge’s 2010 Technology Habitat House include: AGL Resources, CCCi, The Coca-Cola Company, Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta, GE Energy, iGate Corporation, InterContinental Hotels Group, Landis+Gyr, LexisNexis Risk Solutions, MDI Group, Pyramid Consulting, Southern Company, Synergis, Teradata Corporation, Vertex Business Services and Wipro. More than half of the 2010 sponsors are long-time participants in the TechBridge Habitat build project.

Through the sponsorship program facilitated by TechBridge, the participating companies have contributed more than $75,000 to build the Technology Community Habitat House and will collectively provide 280 volunteers for the more than 2,000 volunteer hours needed to complete the project.
