TechBridge CEO Passes the Torch to the Next Generation of Leadership |
ATLANTA, GA – April 23, 2008 – TechBridge, a nonprofit helping other nonprofits achieve more using technology, today announced Jack McMillan will conclude his service as CEO effective July 1, 2008, and that Korn Ferry has been retained pro bono to help find the organization’s next leader. Jack joined TechBridge in 2003 after 20 years with Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting). His superior technical expertise, consulting experience and exceptional leadership have greatly benefited the organization and its clients during his tenure. “I am particularly appreciative of the exceptional leadership Jack has provided. Jack has put us in a position that is beyond what I had thought achievable in five years,” said Wain Kellum, Chairman, TechBridge. “Now the focus is on finding our next leader who will continue to move the organization forward on some exciting new initiatives we have planned. Every year, TechBridge has grown and we have great potential to continue to increase our services capabilities and the number of organizations that we serve. It will be exciting to see how our next generation of leadership can continue to increase TechBridge’s impact on the community” TechBridge is actively searching for an exceptional individual to fill the CEO role. The successful candidate will have already demonstrated his or her leadership abilities both as a senior executive in a business setting with a deep appreciation for the transformative power of technology and as an active member of Metro Atlanta community organizations at the board level. Interested candidates should submit their resumes to techbridgeceo@kornferry.com. “It was my privilege to work with such a great team of talented and good-hearted people at TechBridge,” said Jack McMillan, CEO, TechBridge. “But, my greatest pleasure has been working alongside Atlanta nonprofits as they work to make our community better. It’s a great feeling to help them accomplish their missions more efficiently and effectively.” During Jack McMillan’s tenure, TechBridge’s key accomplishments include: The Gateway Center is a great example of TechBridge’s impact. Since opening in July 2005, the Gateway Center in downtown Atlanta has served more than 15,000 homeless people, thanks in part to an extensive information technology system developed by TechBridge. Vince Smith, executive director of the homeless shelter, said the IT system helps the 50-employee complex manage client information, track outcomes and generate the documentation needed to procure grants, such as for the facility's primary-care medical clinic and a new recuperative center. "To my mind, TechBridge is the best thing that's ever happened to technology in the nonprofit arena in Atlanta," Smith said. "For every dollar we've put into technology, TechBridge has provided about $3 worth of services. Our technology has helped us maximize our resources and minimize duplication with other agencies." |
