Join us at the 2007 Digital
Ball! |
|
Identified by many
previous attendees as 'the technology business event to attend',
TechBridge is now accepting sponsorships for its seventh annual
Digital Ball.
The TechBridge
Digital Ball, presented by Accenture, is the signature gala
fundraising event that brings Atlanta's technology, business and
nonprofit leaders together for an evening of dinner, dancing and
visually stunning performances. Funds raised from the Digital
Ball support the technology services and solutions TechBridge
provides throughout the year to its nonprofit clients.

TechBridge Sponsors Touch

"For every
hour of services I buy from TechBridge, you donate the
next hour. I
thank you for that."
Vince
Smith, Director 24/7 Gateway Center
We were
honoured to welcome Vince Smith, Director, 24/7 Gateway Center,
to our Sponsor Update Reception in October. Since July
2005 24/7
Gateway Center has been providing services to
support individuals in their efforts to end homelessness
and maximize self-sufficiency. The following is an excerpt
from Vince's address:
"I ran into John* in
our center several weeks ago. He was a mess - mentally and
physically. Frankly,
the kind of person many would cross the street to avoid. I saw John again today -
he's a different man. And proud to tell me that he has a part time
job and will be moving out of the Gateway Center
tomorrow. John has been participating in a Gateway Center
program which focuses on ending homelessness. Turns out the first
time I met him he had a mental health condition that was going
untreated. Now properly
diagnosed by our psychiatrist and on the right medication, he's
looking forward to taking charge of his life again. Your support for
the work of TechBridge made that happen.
TechBridge planned and
implemented the infrastructure and software to make possible
scheduling, tracking and reporting of services delivered at the
center. This enabled us
to show that in the first year of operation we served 274
individuals with chronic mental illness and an additional 190
individuals who were alcohol/drug dependent and chronically mentally
ill. We used those
numbers to justify and secure funding for our onsite psychiatrist -
the only homeless services center in Georgia to do
so.
TechBridge's
effort's have significantly enhanced operations at the Gateway
Center. In the last
year, TechBridge covered about half of its operating budget through
the consulting fees paid by organizations like the Gateway Center
and half from generous donations from companies like yours. Thank you for your
commitment to the community... and those so often overlooked. The
net result is for every hour of services I buy from TechBridge, you
donate the next hour. I
thank you for that, and John thanks you for that."
