Presenting Sponsor

Thank You for Supporting 2007 Digital Ball!

We are pleased to announce that the TechBridge Digital Ball, presented by Accenture, once again exceeded budget and sponsorship goals.

The gala event held Sat May 5, 2007 at the Georgia World Congress Center brought 1,170 technology, business and nonprofit leaders together for an evening of dinner, dancing and visually stunning performances. Yes, we really had stallions in the ballroom!

Ninety-seven corporate sponsors gave more than $1.1m in cash and in-kind donations to the Digital Ball to fund TechBridge operations and its nonprofit technology programs and services.

The event was co-chaired by Kristin Kirkconnell, SVP and CIO, AGL Resources and John Seral, VP and CIO, GE Infrastructure. Kirkconnell will be joined by Jean-Michel Ares, SVP and CIO, The Coca-Cola Company as the co-chairs of next year's event.

Summing up his two-year term as Digital Ball co-chair, Seral said, "Community involvement is key to business success and TechBridge has become a focal point for community service activities for technology professionals. I call upon all of Atlanta's technology leaders to join us in ensuring that the Digital Ball continues its track record of success."

And for those wondering, our ever-thoughtful production partner, the MAVERICK group|EVENTSTYLE coordinated the donation of the horse ring flooring to The Atlanta Community ToolBank for recycling.

TechBridge Technology Innovation Award

TechBridge and Accenture Congratulate the Winner and Finalists of the Sixth Annual TechBridge Technology Innovation Award

Juvenile Justice Fund and Fulton County Children's Advocacy Center

These two nonprofits collaborated to achieve amazing results. Their efforts symbolize innovation and progressive thinking - hallmarks of the Technology Innovation Award.

Together they developed a Child Abuse Case Tracking Information System to centralize and share vital info about Fulton County's abused and at-risk children with a myriad of medical, legal, educational and law enforcement professionals.  This interagency case-tracking system is the first of its kind in Georgia and it ensures that abused and neglected children quickly get the help they need.

Two finalists were also selected from a group of 28 impressive nonprofit nominees for the 2007 award given by Accenture. Congratulations to Bobby Dodd Institute and The Well Project for their innovative use of technology to achieve their missions.

Given by Accenture, the award provides over $45,500 in TechBridge consulting services, Microsoft software and cash to the winner and over $16,500 in TechBridge consulting services, Microsoft software and cash to each finalist.

Sponsor Corner

TechBridge is pleased to highlight The Home Depot, Terabyte sponsor of the Digital Ball for the fourth consecutive year.

"The Home Depot has a long history of giving back to the community," says Dave Kardesh, Vice President IT - Corporate Systems. "The work done by TechBridge is an especially good fit with our hands-on service philosophy. We are proud that our contributions will build stronger nonprofits."

The Home Depot contributes volunteer hours by participating in TechBridge's Corporate Partner Program. Through this unique program, the technical skills of employees are matched with the technology needs of the nonprofit community. Volunteers work side-by-side with TechBridge in initiatives including coaching students in technical skills, dismantling computers for recycling, and implementing programs to evaluate the technical needs of smaller nonprofits.

TechBridge was proud to be one of 24 local nonprofits to receive a $20,000 unrestricted grant from The Home Depot as part of the company's inaugural "We Build CommUnity" celebration, recognizing innovative programs and collaborative partnerships that impact the local Atlanta community.
