TechBridge is pleased to
highlight The Home Depot, a premier, Terabyte
Sponsor of the 2005 Digital Ball.
One of the eight core values of The Home Depot is giving back
to the community. Through an extensive community
relations program, the company reaches out to the
communities where their associates live and work with
philanthropic and volunteer support. Programs bring together
volunteerism, do-it-yourself expertise, product donations and
monetary grants to meet critical needs and build affordable
communities.
Team Depot is an associate volunteer force
linking the company's values to community needs through hands-on
service. In 2004, The Home Depot supported thousands of
nonprofit organizaions with $32 million of material and financial
contributions and volunteer services.
"The Home Depot has a long history of
giving back to the community. As a participant in
TechBridge's Corporate Partner Program, we are excited that our
Information Technology department is participating in
TechBridge's efforts to help nonprofit organizations streamline and
improve their IT operations," said Dave Kardesh, Vice President, IT
- Special Order and Services. "The Corporate Partner Program
is an especially good fit with our hands-on service
philosophy. We are proud to sponsor TechBridge so they can
help nonprofits better serve the community."
Founded in 1978, The Home Depot is the world's largest
home improvement specialty retailer and the second largest retailer
in the United States, with fiscal 2004 sales of $73.1 billion.
It employs approximately 325,000 associates and has 1919 stores
in North America.
